The death toll has climbed to 114,000 by the latest figures, and will undoubtedly grow through disease and famine if we do nothing. Our President has pledged $35 million so far (after being shamed into doubling his initial pledge), still less that the expected price tag of the inauguration, and less than half of Spain's offer.
