Using Progressive Infrastructure

Sen. John Kerry has put up a fundraising page at ActBlue designed to call out "Roadblock Republicans" who would rather stand with the President on Iraq than the American people.

Americans voted for change last year, and we continue to demand a new course in Iraq.

Now a small caucus of “Roadblock Republicans” stand in the way of the Congress enacting the will of the people. They won’t face election until 2008, but we can start to work for change now. Lives are at stake, and we can’t waste time waiting around.

Some will break and start voting our way before the election, and this will create more pressure on the White House to change their behavior. This is not a partisan issue; this is about the future of America.

Not only can you contribute at this site to challengers for Norm Coleman, John Sununu, Susan Collins and Mitch McConnell (that's right, the damn Minority Leader), but afterwards you can email these Senators through the site and tell them that you just contributed to their opponent and why.

This is so great to see the last nominee of our party using this little ActBlue thing that a couple guys created to make fundraising easier. This really helps give legitimacy to the progressive movement. Thank you, Senator Kerry.

UPDATE: John Edwards' new TV ad on Iraq is good too.
