The Blueprint

Unlike Brink Lindsay, I think this is the blueprint for how the REPUBLICANS will end up talking about Iraq in 2008. There will be two antiwar candidates, at least rhetorically. What the Republican nominee will do is say that he has the best chance to get out of Iraq honorably and in a way that avoids chaos. It will be a lie, but it will attempt to blur the lines on Iraq and make the choice about who has the best plan to get out safely, rather than staying versus leaving. In this way, the Republicans on Iraq will be exactly like Hillary Clinton was on Iraq tonight in the debate.
