How the hell would you like it if, before every appearance or every mention of your name, a long story is run trying to verify the truth of every word you've ever said? This is the position Michael Moore finds himself in, he's the most relentlessly fact-checked man in America, and God bless him for taking it out on Wolf Blitzer. Why is there never, say, a long story fact-checking Bill Kristol before every media appearance? After all, he's been wrong about virtually everything he's said since he came out of the fucking womb. How about Ken Pollack? Or Robert Kagan? Or David Broder? Nope, only Michael Moore comes with this disclaimer of "he's a lying liar peddling agitprop." There's literally nothing that the elite pundit class can do to discredit themselves, and yet they fall all over themselves to discredit anyone outside their hermetically sealed tent.
