Ground Round

I've gotten kind of roped in to Obama's ground game out here in California, and I have to say that Roger Simon is right. There is no comparison between this effort and similar efforts in 2004. Democrats are most definitely not complacent, no matter the polls, and they are amped up to get a part of this ground effort. The numbers I'm hearing at these local phone banks are through the roof today. Apparently if you went on BarackObama.com today, on the front page would be an announcement of the closest local phone bank in your area. That's very slick, and I can only imagine how that's working in the battleground states.

This AP report is kind of tepid and looks for balance, but believe me, what's going on out here for Obama is completely ridiculous. The other addition to this is the work that Obama volunteers have already done getting out the early vote. They may have put away Nevada already, and put up a big number in a lot of battleground states.

48 hours to go and there's no reason to get your foot off the pedal, but be proud of this Democratic campaign. It's really coming together.

And this final ad is icing on the cake. Great work, Obama campaign.
